Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 sailboat
Yanmar 2GM20F Engine With AutoEngineLube A-Kit Installed
I installed the prelube kit by myself quite easily in my Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 Sailboat With The Yanmar 2GM20F Engine.
The kit included everything that I needed.
It works fine and there was noticeable reduction of metallic noise after starting.
One problem sailboats have with their engines is the lack of lubrication while motor sailing.
A lot of engine manuals say you shouldn't motor sail if you will be encountering more than a 20-degree heeling angle.
I believe the AutoEngineLube kit will compensate for the limit due to the constant supply of oil from the accumulator tank when the oil galley pressure drops.
I have heard about many sailboats that blew their engines after long motor sailing and it's nice knowing it can't happen to my engine with the AutoEngineLube kit installed.
